We visited Brough in the Pennines then headed to the hills

The day was warm and sunny and the views were spectacular

We all had to take measurements of the dip of the bedding and look closely at the grain size.

It was our first day in the field and very tiring.

There were ducks on this pond in the dip between the limestone beds.
One of our helpers.

At the entrance to the quarry - looking at the rock and measuring the dip.

Some of the rock faces were very awkward.

We were much fitter by the end of the week.
