TWINNING WITH KREFELD

Following Richard's visit to Krefeld for Carnival, we became more involved with the twinning visits.

The Lord Mayor invited the Krefeld entertainers to Leicester to take part in a charity weekend which ended when we watched the start of the Leicester section of the 25th Milk Race at the Post House hotel.  Click on the pictures below to see a larger version.

The entertainers are all normal working people who spend their spare time travelling throughout Germany, raising funds for charities.

	This is Klaus and his son Peter. They stayed with us and it was my job to drive them to the various venues while Richard played his normal weekend golf.
	Luckily the weather was warm and sunny for May.  We spent a lot of time sitting around waiting.		The Steel Band to entertain us while we waited

In later years, we had other guests from Krefeld and visited there ourselves.

We never had such colourful guests or enjoyed their company quite so much.

Richard still keeps in contact and is travelling to Krefeld in August for the regular match against Krefeld Golf.
